Considering a convincor with fresh power

I'm eyeing a good speedboat and I came across a 30' Convincor that's been repowered with twin fuel-injected 377 Magnums—640hp total. It sounds like a reliable setup with newer stock small blocks, but I'm wondering: will it actually move like it should? Anyone familiar with this combo and how it performs on the water?

Plenty of power, sure but hull design, prop choice, and weight distribution will decide if it really flies. I've seen big horsepower setups feel sluggish when the rest of the package isn't dialed in

Yeah too many people think raw horsepower guarantees speed. If the hull's not efficient and the setup's off, you're just making noise and burning gas instead of actually getting real performance on the water
