Breathing fire into an old Spectra

About 6years back, I scored a free Spectra 171—17'4", 7 feet wide, and just 1100 pounds, I never liked that 150 HP outboard hanging off the back. Now I've got time and cash, so I'm dropping in an Infiniti twin-turbo 4.5L V8. It's all-aluminum, weighs 550 lbs, and cranks out 600–900 horsepower, and I found an ASD6 drive, a Velvet 72L trans, and a Hill 15x34 prop. I just need to sort engine placement, trim tabs, and how wild this thing can get before it lifts off.

Oh man, it's gonna rip hard. Love the idea, but keep in ind, you're adding a lot more power on something that's pretty light, so make sure you think about the placement. Try to avoid mounting too far in the back and make sure you reinforce the stingers to make sure it doesn't lift off literally or fall apart.

I'm planning to reinforce the stingers and keep the engine balanced, I want power, but not flying off...cause its safety first with this beastly setup

Wow, that's a big leap in power-to-weight ratio! Just remember to keep the center of gravity low and shifted forward. Also, make sure the hull and transom bracing are strong enough to handle that torque. You don't want any surprises, right?
